Match the battery bank voltage to the trolling motor’s required voltage. Check the motor label or manual before choosing 12V, 24V, or another system voltage.

Use the motor’s average current draw as the starting point. A 100Ah battery at a 20A average draw has a theoretical runtime of about 5 hours, while a 40A draw is about 2.5 hours. Real runtime changes with speed, wind, current, hull weight, and other electrical loads.

A dedicated 24V battery simplifies wiring and battery matching. Two compatible 12V batteries can also form a 24V bank when the specific 12V model permits series connection.

Use a LiFePO4-compatible charger matched to the battery voltage and current limits. For onboard marine chargers, confirm that the selected charging profile is approved for LiFePO4.

On supported models, Bluetooth lets you check SOC, voltage, current, and battery status without opening the battery compartment.

Protection ratings vary by model. Do not assume a battery is submersible. Install it in the environment permitted by the product rating and manual.

The deep-cycle batteries in this collection should not be treated as starter batteries unless a specific product explicitly supports engine-starting use.
